From Onyx's monologue act 2 scene 2

(dangerously) interrupt me boy, don’t hang by the door
Wanting me to explore my sunny disposition.
My position is still beside the young knight
Ready to leap into action and reaction
I’m undone in lost thought, no longer broken
So, Captain, my captain, no
Onyx, my onyx is everywhere without a drop to drink,
I would think this moment tests,
this drop, one mixed and blessed as it passes lips
hung dry to kiss lips
I try to kiss lips
I hate to kiss like
Something… (forgetting) oh.
But forget that thought, and think of nesting
in places comfortable, like the mother swan on the 401,
reduced marshland makes us think that anywhere is our comfortable
oh so comfortable marshland home.
Wanting comfort, forgetting or not seeing danger
Danger is everywhere and women don’t think
That danger would come their way
So they watch and want to purify and simplify
but life ain’t like that.
Its complexity
come flex with me,
just dance with me and let me be the girl with one hand in her pocket and the other one writing the next rhyme.
And next time you think that I’m not happy, drop me.
Realize the projection ain’t the problem. Interest protection ain’t so troubling
As the self reflection that starts you on this course
